Guitars, Guitars…and more guitars….
October is guitar month down here at the Acoustic Café. Well actually every month is guitar month…..but this month especially, as we have some new arrivals to announce. We have purchased a couple of sweet 70’s Takamines. These baby’s are part of the famous Takamines that rocked US guitar maker Martin so much they tried to take them to court for making guitars that not only looked like Martins but actually matched them in sound and playability. Pity the newer Takamines don’t cut it today, but do yourself a big favour and come down and play one of these gems. Do the comparison yourself as we have plenty of Martins on our wall as well. We have also reduced the price of some of our guitars, so it has never been a better time to check out our range of exquisite guitars.
Saturday Matinee Sessions.
To celebrate the warmer weather, we are throwing our doors open to live music on Saturday afternoons. So if you are suffering a hangover from Friday night, or you are getting primed for a big Saturday night why not come down at 2pm for our matinee music session. Kicking off Saturday the 23rd of October with the every charming Matt Glass who will be playing songs of his debut solo cd “Famous Last Words” Supporting Matt will be Andy Gaunt and Kate Crawley, so it should be a great afternoon of music.
Open Mic
We would like to acknowledge everyone who has supported our Thursday open mic nights. These nights have well and truly surpassed all expectation and are fast becoming Melbourne’s premier acoustic open mic night. Last Thursday was no exception with over 60 people glued to the stage for some fantastic local talent. If you are not musical why not come down and share in the magic that live music gives. How often do you get a chance to sample 8 or 9 live musicians over four hours. And do it all in the wonderful environment the Acoustic Café gives and all for free!!
Rebirth of the Humble Burger
The Acoustic Café is home of the A.C. Burger. Next time you feel the need for a decent home cooked burger why not try one of our old-styled burgers they have been a big hit with our patrons.
Keep on ‘pickin and a grinin……
